"Boats at Bay" Original size 10 x 8"
I have always loved the sea or anything to do with water, and this painting makes me think of my childhood
summers at the NJ seashores, and later, at our first home on Centerport Harbor, L.I., N.Y.
The sounds of the seagulls always take me right back in time. I painted it twice, once as a Christmas card,
so I added a wreath to the post for that one. The original is in a private collection.

"Spanish Patio" Original size 7.5 x 11"
The many angles of perspective within the building and patio were quite a challenge.
This was an early watercolor attempt, and I really enjoyed meeting the challenges I set for myself in this painting.

This street scene just caught my eye, and I knew I had to paint it.
I was trying out a new technique I had learned… that of applying foliage with a natural sponge.

"Yellow Roses with Lilacs" Original size 11 x 14"
Lilacs and pansies have been my favorite flowers since I was a young child because both grew outside my bedroom window.
In the spring, I could smell the lilacs, and to this day, that scent takes me right back to my childhood.
